Who we are

Tracepoint Intelligence is an investigations and due diligence service based in Ireland. We are the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this website and through our client engagement process. Contact for privacy matters: [email protected]

Personal data we collect and why

We collect only personal data that is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is collected. We may collect: contact and identity data (name, email, phone, company) when you submit an inquiry or intake form; engagement data (matter details, subject names, scope) to carry out the requested service; documents uploaded via the intake form, used solely for the engagement; and technical data (IP address, basic browser information) from standard web server logs, retained for a limited period for security purposes only.

Lawful basis for processing

We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases depending on the context: pre-contractual steps or contract performance; legitimate interests; consent where specifically sought; and legal obligation where required by law.

How we use your data

We use personal data collected through this website solely to: respond to inquiries; prepare scope confirmations and quotes; carry out the services you have requested; process payments via Stripe; maintain appropriate records of our work; and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not use your data for marketing without your consent. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe. Tracepoint Intelligence does not store card details. Stripe’s processing of your payment data is subject to Stripe’s own privacy policy and terms.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary. As a general guide: inquiry-only data is retained for a limited period following the inquiry; engagement data is retained for a period appropriate to our professional and legal obligations, typically seven years from completion of the engagement; data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised on a structured schedule.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure (in certain circumstances), restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. We will respond within one month of receiving a valid request.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, you may raise them with us in the first instance. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.

Nature of our service

Tracepoint Intelligence provides investigative due diligence and background research services. Reports are based on open-source, client-supplied, and lawfully accessed subscribed sources. They are for business decision support and informational purposes only. Reports are not legal advice, definitive legal findings, regulatory determinations, or audit outputs.

Source limitations

The completeness and accuracy of findings is subject to the availability, reliability, and coverage of sources at the time of the engagement. We will note in each report where material limitations exist.

Payment and pricing

A fixed-fee quote is agreed before work begins. No upfront payment is required. When your report is complete, reviewed, and approved by a senior investigator, you will receive a secure Stripe payment link by email. The report is released upon payment confirmation. Additional fees for scope changes, additional subjects, jurisdictions, or urgent turnaround will be notified and agreed before the additional work is carried out.

AI-assisted research and human review

Tracepoint Intelligence uses AI-assisted tools to support research, data analysis, and report drafting. This is disclosed to clients in the interests of transparency. The use of such tools does not diminish the professional quality or human oversight applied to every engagement. All reports are reviewed, edited where necessary, and approved by a qualified investigator before release. No report is issued automatically or without human sign-off.

Client responsibilities

By submitting an intake form and making payment, the client confirms that: the information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge; they are entitled to share any materials provided; the purpose of the engagement is lawful; and the report will be used only for the stated purpose.

Confidentiality

Tracepoint Intelligence treats all client and matter information as strictly confidential. Reports should not be disclosed to third parties without our prior agreement, except as required by the client’s own legal or regulatory obligations.

Right to decline work

Tracepoint Intelligence reserves the right to decline, pause, or withdraw from any engagement that is, in our reasonable assessment, unlawful, unethical, disproportionate, outside our scope of competence, or incompatible with our professional obligations. Where prepayment has been made and work cannot proceed, we will discuss refund arrangements with the client on a case-by-case basis.

Liability

Our liability to clients is limited to the professional quality of the work carried out within the agreed scope. We do not accept liability for decisions made by clients on the basis of our reports, for losses arising from source limitations or unavailability of information, or for circumstances outside our control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
